Dana Rebaza

Dana is a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer, with 3,000+ hours of experience actively working on cases. They are a former Certified Shelter Dog Behavior Consultant (CSB-D) and Shelter Behavior Affiliate (SBA) through the IAABC, Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), and Karen Pryor Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP). They graduated with distinction (i.e. top of class) from both the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior, and the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior. They also completed Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course and hands-on Defensive Handling workshop, as well as countless continuing education courses.

Dana works full-time with clients around the world, and is committed to bringing you the latest in ethical and effective dog training, while creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for both you and your dog. With Dana, you get the support and expertise you need to overcome your dog's separation anxiety.

Meet Dana: About Me

Dana spent nearly two decades working in and partnering with shelters and rescues in various parts of the US. They established and expanded behavior programs to reduce euthanasia and improve animal welfare. Dana has helped rehabilitate dogs from egregious backgrounds such as puppy mills, fighting rings, and hoarding. They have also worked with equine and exotics rescued from research, abuse and neglect. They have been mentoring dog trainers for six years and are currently a Faculty Advisor for students at the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior.  

Dana graduated from Regent University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership & Management.​ They are a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), a practicing yogi, and a vipassana meditator. They also completed the Grief Recovery Method Certificate program. Dana's first language was Spanglish and they are fluent in both English and Spanish. They are a proud supporter of Heart Math Tutoring and Circle de Luz.


Dana enjoys keeping a low profile in Charlotte with rescue dog, Hope Rising.
