Dana (they/she/he), whose name is pronounced in Spanish, is a certified professional dog trainer specializing in separation anxiety. They are committed to bringing you the latest in ethical and effective dog training, while creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for both you and your dog. With Dana, you will get the support and expertise you need to overcome your dog's separation anxiety.

Meet Dana: About Me

Dana started training dogs in 2008 and has since managed dog training programs in Charlotte and Santa Fe, and a horse rescue in Texas. Their areas of expertise include anxiety, reactivity, fear, aggression, basic manners, puppies and adolescents, dog to dog and dog to cat introductions. In 2021, Dana narrowed their focus to provide specialized training services for dog separation anxiety.

Dana is a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer, as well as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. They are a former Certified Shelter Dog Behavior Consultant (CSB-D). They graduated with distinction from both the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior, and the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior. They completed Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course, as well as countless continuing education courses.


Dana graduated from Regent University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership & Management.​ They are a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and a practicing yogi. They also completed the Grief Recovery Method Certificate program. Dana's first language was Spanglish and they are fluent in both English and Spanish. They are a proud supporter of Heart Math Tutoring and Circle de Luz. Dana resides in Charlotte with rescue dog and best friend, Hope Rising.
